Welcome to Design for Humans. By purchasing our courses or downloading our resources, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Who We Are
- Design for Humans is an independent educational platform operated as a sole trader based in Northern Ireland, providing digital web design and accessibility training.
2. Course Access & User Accounts
- Personal License: When you purchase a course, you are granted a single, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the content for your own personal or professional development.
- Account Security: You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Sharing your account details, passwords, or granting access to third parties is strictly prohibited and may result in the termination of your account without a refund.
3. Digital Products & Intellectual Property
- All course videos (hosted via Mux), downloadable PDF cheat sheets, workbooks, source code, and written materials are the intellectual property of Design for Humans.
- You may use downloadable resources in your own design or development projects, but you may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share the core course materials or PDFs publicly.
4. Purchases, Pricing, & Payments
- All purchases are processed securely through WooCommerce and Stripe. Prices are listed clearly on the site and are subject to change, but changes will not affect orders that have already been completed.
5. Cancellation & Digital Content Refund Policy
- Digital Goods Waiver: Under UK consumer regulations, digital content (such as streaming video lessons and instant PDF downloads) is exempt from standard cancellation rights once delivery, streaming, or downloading has begun.
- By completing your purchase and accessing the course materials, you explicitly consent to immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you waive your 14-day right to cancel.
- Due to the digital and immediate nature of our courses and downloads, all sales are final once accessed. If you experience technical issues or accidental duplicate charges, please reach out directly so we can make it right.
6. Limitation of Liability
- Our courses and resources are designed to provide educational guidance on web design and digital accessibility. While we strive for accuracy, Design for Humans is not liable for any direct or indirect business losses, technical damages, or compliance failures resulting from the implementation of our advice or code snippets.
7. Changes to These Terms
- We may update these terms occasionally to reflect changes in our platform or legal requirements. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
